Ah… we have released the latest version of our Search and last few days were very hectic for Laila’s team. Folks were busy with building proximity based search which we call it as kick-ass feature. See it yourself how the team was busy developing and testing the kick ass feature –
Hummm.. I thought i should stop talking and discuss about the proximity search. Over all proximity will help you to find listings/information that is near your area. Simple!!! Well you enable proximity search with the check box that’s just below the “which part of Bangalore?”
Let me give you an example, say Mr. Tom from the US wants to eat at KFC and stays in Devara Jeevana Halli. (I guess, KFC never thought folks from Devara Jeevana Halli will love to eat at KFC.)
Mr Tom: How would Laila help?
Laila: Search with proximity enabled. KFC in Devara Jeevana Halli…..
Mr Tom: YuMmy… Laila say’s KFC is found near to Devara Jeevana Halli at —
Cunningham Road
Commercial Street
Vyalikaval
Brigade Road

Proximity was not built in a day….
Guys,
build an proximity based interface for mobile…(sms/http). it might work very well for indian market. your tom may have tough time to get his laptop going with net connection but he may have mobile device in hand.
